Dedicated to all fans of the computer game. The film, the plot of which is based on the confrontation of people and orcs from the universe of "Warcraft". Green creatures are ruthless, they do not know pity and a sense of border, the main purpose of their life is to conquer new territories.
In this film, you can see the start of hostilities of the first war between the Alliance and the Horde, which begin with the moment of the orcs attack on Azeroth in order to destroy the kingdom of Stormwind. 9th place - Stardust / Stardust (2007)

The film is able to shake the most daring expectations of fans of the genre. It contains not only incredible special effects, but also unrealistically exciting scenery, complemented by the beauty of the landscape of the surrounding area, which is not surprising - the film was shot in the vast mountains of Scotland, Ireland and Iceland. The most amazing thing is the plot twisted around a magical city in which good always triumphs over evil, no matter how powerful it is, and love and universal happiness rule the world.
One day, an ordinary village young man living in the Castle, decides to go behind the wall that separated his world from the magical land. Only having crossed the enchanted line, Dastan meets Una - an incredibly beautiful girl who became a captive of the evil witch and forced to be her slave. After spending the night with her, Dastan returns to his world and does not suspect that he won the heart of Princess Una, who after 9 months gave him a son and named him Tristan. This movie is worthy of getting into the top fantasy films already because it so intricately interwoven the history of the Second World War and the fairy tale. The plot is based on viewers seeing Spain in 1944 immediately after the capture by the Nazis, and tight control was established in the country. Captain Vidal, whose cruelty knew no bounds, controlled everything and everyone. But the hot Spaniards did not want to obey the demands of the enemy, and rebel groups were created everywhere that tried to restore control of the state to their citizens. It was during this difficult time that the pregnant wife Carmen and her daughter from Ophelia's first marriage came to the estate where Captain Vidal lived.
On the very first night, fairies fly to the girl and bring her to the center of the maze, where she fearfully meets the mythical creature Faun. He tells Ophelia that she is in fact the princess of the magical underworld and has come to earth for the last time to prove to her father that she is worthy to head his kingdom. But before reuniting with her parent, the girl needs to perform three feats that will determine her continued existence. 7th place - Jumanji / Jumanji (1995)
Director: Joe Johnston.

The film, which became not just a legend, it became the story of the fantasy genre. The unprecedented beauty of scenery and computer special effects was forever imprinted in the hearts of moviegoers with its incredible story and acting.
The beginning of the film tells of the distant 1869. Two unknown guys bury a strange box in the forest. A century later, the town of Bratford was built on this site, in which the hero of the film Alan Parrish lived, whose father owned a shoe factory. It was he who in the foundation of the building discovered a strange box with an unprecedented game, which also made suspicious sounds. Arranging with his girlfriend Sarah, Alan began the game that evening. Throwing the dice on the board, the children saw that the pieces on the board were in motion. Suddenly bats appeared attacking Sarah, who watched helplessly as her friend was dragged into a whirlpool that appeared from the board. So Alan became a prisoner of Jumanji, a mysterious and dangerous jungle.
After 26 years, Nora Sheffield's family moved into the mansion, who raised two orphaned nephews. In the attic, they again found a mysterious game, and, not knowing the rules, started the process. Suddenly, Alan disappeared and the jungle surrounding him. So the game started again.
6th place - Endless history / Die unendliche Geschichte (1984)
Director: Wolfgang Petersen.
Cast: Barrett Oliver, Gerald McRainey, Drum Garrett, Darryl Cooksey, Nicholas Gilbert.
Another great movie that has earned an honorable 6th place in the top 10 of the best fantasy films thanks to its magnificent history and incredibly realistic graphics. I want to believe in this film, the viewer will definitely wake up to the desire to plunge into the magical land of Fantasy and help the young empress save the fairy-tale world from an ominous misfortune.
Just like Bastian, who was 10 years old at the time of the events, did this. By coincidence, Bastian found himself in a fairy-tale world inhabited by incredible creatures, among them he met flying dogs, dragons and elves. In order to save his beloved magical land, he must join forces with the warrior Atreus and make every effort so that the sinister Nothing would seize power over the magical land of Fantasy.
An incredibly realistic film made in the best traditions of the fantasy genre. It is recommended for viewing together with children who understand that believing in a miracle is sometimes the only thing that saves from gray and hopeless everyday life. It is very important for children to understand that they need to follow their dreams, even the most incredible ones.

Director: Andrew Adamson.

Watching this movie will surely give adults and children the feeling that dreams can come true in any life situation, and most importantly, this is a pure and innocent expectation of a miracle.
This is exactly what happened with the heroes of the film. Four children fled from London, which was bombed by air forces of the fascist military aviation. They took refuge in the house of a friend of their parents, where during the game Lucy discovered the fabulous country of Narnia, met Faunus Tumnus and, hurrying home, told her brothers and sister about the magical place. As expected, the rest were in no hurry to believe the younger sister, attributing everything to the fruits of children's imagination. However, when they themselves fell into this fabulous place, all their previous ideas about reality changed, and now the four children fleeing from the horrors of war should play a significant role in confronting the good and evil of the fairy kingdom ruled by the wise lion Aslan.
4th place - Dragon Heart / DragonHeart (1996)
Director: Rob Cohen.
Cast: Dennis Quaid, Sean Connery, David Thewlis, Pete Postletway, Dina Meyer.
A very exciting film, it was filmed by high-level professionals who, even today, can give odds to many modern filmmakers. Stunning graphics and costumes will not leave indifferent viewers of all ages.
The action takes place during knights and beautiful ladies, when the former were ready to defend the honor of their beloved until the last breath, and the latter with secret sighs waited for the return of beautiful young men in forged armor. Everything was perfect, but inside the country there were disputes between people and dragons. Moreover, the latter were more respectable than representatives of the human race. So the heroes of the legend of the dragon’s heart met: a knight named Bowen is a dragon hunter who avenged the death of his best disciple, and Draco is the last surviving representative of his once huge tribe. It was Draco who gave a piece of his heart to save the ruler of England, who grew up in the most inhuman tyrant.
In order to overthrow the cruel king, Bowen must pierce the heart of his friend Draco. Can the illustrious hero and the bravest knight commit a crime against Draco, or will the English peasants be doomed to forever suffer injustice from their greedy and cruel king?
3rd place - How to Train Your Dragon / How to Train Your Dragon (2010)
Director: Dean DeBlois, Chris Sanders.
Cast: Jay Barushel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, John Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
A well-deserved third place goes to the animated film, which was not accidentally included in the list of the best fantasy genres. Indeed, on the example of the relationship between people and dragons from the distant Viking village of Oluch, one can understand the injustice that is happening in the modern world.
The Vikings spend all their strength in the fight against the most dangerous pests - dragons, which destroy houses and cattle, burn crops of the local population, leaving them to die of starvation. To increase efficiency in the extermination of dragons in the village there is a school in which future dragon-head hunters are trained.
So the son of the leader of the Ikking tribe spends his life in dreams of becoming the most illustrious killer of flying monsters, but he is too weak to fight against such a serious opponent. Once he is fabulously lucky, and he shoots one of the dragons. Going deeper into the forest, the boy wants to finish off a wounded animal, which turned out to be much better than many people. From this begins the incredible story of friendship between man and dragon, which can only be tamed with sincere care and love.

In the modern world, it is difficult to find a person who would not know about the most famous saga of the century - Harry Potter.
